Univision is No. 1 for Fifth Consecutive Week on All of Television in Primetime with A18-34 and No. 2 with A18-49

“Como Tú No Hay 2” Propels Univision To Victory Over ABC, CBS and NBC in the Weeknight 10 P.M. Hour Among Key Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 Viewers

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of June 22, 2020 to June 28, 2020

  • Univision finished as the No. 1 network on all of television in primetime for the fifth consecutive week, out-delivering ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, The CW and all cable networks with 257,000 Adults 18-34 as well as the No. 2 network, ahead of ABC, CBS, FOX, The CW and all cable networks with 584,000 Adults 18-49.
  • For the second consecutive week, Univision ranked as the fourth most-watched broadcast network in primetime, out-delivering FOX and The CW with 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+.
  • Univision delivered week-over-week primetime audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+9% to 584,000) and Adults 18-34 (+11% to 257,000).
  • Univision outperformed one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every single night last week among Adults 18-34 for the sixth consecutive week and on six out of seven nights among Adults 18-49.
  • Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking in primetime for the thirty-first consecutive week with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+77% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+72% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+86% adv).
  • Averaging more than half-a-million Adult 18-49 viewers, “Te Doy La Vida” (704,000), “Amor Eterno” (794,000) and “Como Tu No Hay 2” (677,000) propelled Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television with double-to-triple digit audience advantages over Telemundo during the respective weeknight hours of 8 p.m. (+81% adv.), 9 p.m. (+125% adv.) and 10 p.m. (+88% adv.).
  • Monday through Friday, Univision increased its primetime audience week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+9% to 1.8 million), Adults 18-49 (+10% to 727,000) and Adults 18-34 (+11% to 320,000), positioning it as the No. 1 broadcast network during weeknight primetime, outperforming ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, The CW and Telemundo with Adults 18-34 as well as the second most-watched broadcast network, ahead of ABC, CBS, FOX, The CW and Telemundo with Adults 18-49.
    • At 8 p.m., “Te Doy La Vida” averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+8% to 1.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+6% to 704,000) and Adults 18-34 (+6% to 326,000) than the prior week and drove Univision to a first-place finish on broadcast television for the fifth consecutive week with Adults 18-34 as well as in second-place, out-delivering ABC, CBS, FOX and The CW with Adults 18-49. The series also outperformed Telemundo’s “Cennet” by double-to-triple digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+56% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+81% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+100% adv.).
    • At 9 p.m., “Amor Eterno” delivered week-over-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+5% to 2.0 million), Adults 18-49 (+7% to 794,000) and Adults 18-34 (+9% to 342,000), making it the top-rated program on all of broadcast television during the weeknight 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot for the entire week with Adults 18-34. The Turkish novela also positioned Univision among the top two broadcast networks with Adults 18-34 at No. 1 for the ninth consecutive week and with Adults 18-49 at No. 2 for the third consecutive week, outperforming ABC, CBS, FOX and The CW while also doubled the audience levels of Telemundo’s “100 Dias Para Enamorarnos” among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
    • At 10 p.m., “Como Tu No Hay 2” attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+8% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+13% to 677,000) and Adults 18-34 (+15% to 290,000), making Univision the No. 1 broadcast network, ahead of ABC, CBS and NBC with the key 18 to 49 and 18 to 34 demographics. The romantic comedy also out-delivered the premiere week of Telemundo’s second season of “Enemigo Intimo” with double-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+86% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+88% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+92% adv.).
  • On Sunday night, “Aquí y Ahora” delivered week-over-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+17% to 956,000), Adults 18-49 (+11% to 307,000) and Adults 18-34 (+10% to 119,000) and made Univision a top-rated broadcast network in the Sunday 7 p.m. hour, outperforming NBC and FOX with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The primetime news magazine also averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+61% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+24% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+23% adv.) than the first hour of Telemundo’s featured film airing of “Jurassic Park: The Lost World.”
  • With the movie presentation of “No Eres Tu, Soy Yo,” Univision finished ahead of FOX with double-digit audience advantages during the Sunday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot (+10% adv.) and for the entire Sunday night (+32% adv.) among Adults 18-34. “No Eres Tu, Soy Yo” attracted 893,000 Total Viewers 2+, 305,000 Adults 18-49 and 130,000 Adults 18-34 while also increased its audience in the last hour compared to the first hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+22%), Adults 18-49 (+45%) and Adults 18-34 (+44%).
