Thrilling Conclusion of Popular Reality Dance Competition Leads Univision To Ratings Wins Over ABC, FOX and NBC in Key Demos
Outperforms Both FOX and NBC Stations in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and New York in Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 in Time Period
MIAMI – February 11, 2019 – Last night’s finale of “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” (MQB) delivered the season’s highest rated telecast as fans tuned in record numbers to witness fan-favorite Clarissa Molina crowned this season’s winner. Airing from 8:00-10:15 p.m. ET/PT, the reality dance competition reached 4.6 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the program, and averaged 2.1 Total Viewers 2+, 773,000 Adults 18-49, and 313,000 Adults 18-34. The performance marked its highest-rated telecast this season with both Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-34, and second highest delivery among Adults 18-49.
Hosted by Chiquinquirá Delgado and Javier Poza, “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” made Univision the No. 2 broadcast network during its finale among Adults 18-34, trailing only behind CBS’s presentation of the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. For the entire night, “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” propelled Univision past NBC among Adults 18-49, and ahead of FOX with Total Viewers 2+. Overall, the finale finished among the Top 10 programs on broadcast television Sunday night among Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+.
“Mira Quién Baila All Stars” positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the finale broadcast with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+56% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+31% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+17% advantage). “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” also made Univision the runaway winner on Spanish-language television for the entire night, securing audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+15% advantage) and Adults 18-49 (+11% advantage).
For the full season, the All-Star edition of “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (1.9 million), Adults 18-49 (694,000) and Adults 18-34 (268,000) than its previous sixth season that aired during the summer of 2018.
