Univision Presents a Night of Family Entertainment for Lovers of Soccer and Dramedies with a Primetime Combo U.S. vs. Mexico Soccer Match and Premiere of “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia”
A night of athletic competition and dramatic comedy kicks off on the west coast with the live match on Tuesday, September 11 at 6p.m. PT followed by the “Mi Marido” at 8:00 p.m. PT. On the East coast the telenovela will air at 8:00 p.m. ET, followed by the live match at 9:00 p.m. ET
MIAMI, FL- SEPTEMBER 5 2018 – The Univision Network invites soccer fans and dramedy lovers to come together and enjoy an action-packed evening like no other. On the west coast, this primetime family night will feature a live broadcast of the international soccer match between U.S. and Mexico, followed by the highly anticipated premiere of “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” (My Husband Has More Family), featuring Daniel Arenas and Zuria Vega. East coast viewers will be treated to the dramedy premiere first, followed by the live soccer match.
“Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” picks up where “Mi Marido Tiene Familia” left off and pokes fun at traditional attitudes toward the extended family in a modern marriage. This second installment of the top-rated dramedy brings new excitement and unexpected twists to the lives of Julieta and Robert as a previously unknown and large branch of the family tree appears on their doorstep. Our protagonists will experience a whirlwind of emotions and adventures as they raise their two children while dealing with the in-laws who think they know better and want to be part of their lives as much as possible, even if it becomes obsessive and suffocating, especially for Julieta.
This new season also brings new and fresh characters played by Carlos Bracho, Susana Gonzalez, Carmen Salinas, Arap de la Torre, among others. “Mi Marido Tiene Mas Familia” premieres on Tuesday, September 11th at 8:00 p.m. ET /PT 9:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. CT, and continues in its regular timeslot Monday to Friday at 9pm ET/PT, 8pm CT on the Univision Network.
Adding to a night full of entertainment for the entire family, soccer fans will enjoy one of the game’s most intense rivalries when the U.S. and Mexico face off in a match not recommended for the faint of heart. The list of talented players that Mexico has enlisted for the match include young star Diego Lainez (América), Hirving “Chucky” Lozano (PSV Eindhoven) and Guillermo Ochoa (Standard Liège). Meanwhile, Weston McKennie (Schalke 04), Bobby Wood (Hannover) and DeAndre Yedlin (Newcastle United) will lead a U.S. team full of young up-and-comers. The U.S. vs. Mexico friendly airs at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT / 6 p.m. PT on Tuesday, September 11th, on the Univision Network.
