UNIVISION RANKS AS THE NO. 1 BROADCAST NETWORK DURING “AQUÍ Y AHORA’S” INTERVIEW BETWEEN UNIVISION NEWS CORRESPONDENT ILIA CALDERÓN AND KKK LEADER
Titled “En la Boca del Lobo” (In the Wolf’s Mouth), the Telecast Reached 3.3 Million Total Viewers 2+ on Sunday Night
MIAMI – AUGUST 25, 2017 – Univision’s award-winning primetime newsmagazine “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now) positioned Univision as the No. 1 broadcast network among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-34 during the 10:00 p.m. hour this past Sunday. The special edition program featured an hour-long intimate look at white supremacy with Univision News anchor and special correspondent Ilia Calderón meeting the Imperial Wizard of the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, Chris Barker. The controversial and poignant interview “En la Boca del Lobo” (In the Wolf’s Mouth) reached 3.3 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the one-hour broadcast. This marked “Aquí y Ahora’s” highest-rated telecast in the current 2016/2017 season, averaging 2.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 983,000 Adults 18-49, 1.0 million Adults 25-54 and 357,000 Adults 18-34.
Additionally, “Aquí y Ahora” ranked as the No. 1 program among Hispanics on Sunday night with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-34. Sunday night’s broadcast also reported significant audience growth versus prior Sunday airing and same night in 2016:
- Versus prior Sunday: Adults 18-49 (+62%), Adults 25-54 (+66%), Adults 18-34 (+45%), and Total Viewers 2+ (+50%).
- Versus same Sunday in 2016: Adults 18-49 (+119%), Adults 25-54 (+101%), Adults 18-34 (+80%), and Total Viewers 2+ (+66%).

The emotionally charged interview streamed across Univision’s social platforms (Social and Univision.com) and garnered 8.6 million video views. Additionally, Facebook streaming of the interview from Fusion Media Group’s news site, Splinter, received 23 million video views.
