MIAMI – JULY 27, 2016 – Univision News, the award-winning news division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), has launched an interactive digital tool designed to help U.S. residents who have applied for citizenship to prepare for the official examination required by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) as part of the naturalization process.
Simple and user-friendly, the Citizenship Exam Tool provides a practice test featuring the 100 questions that appear on USCIS’s actual examination. Users can take the test as many times as they want, in English or Spanish. After obtaining their score, they can review their answers to see which ones were incorrect and learn the correct responses.
The interactive tool can be accessed free of charge on computers and mobile devices via the “Examen de Ciudadanía” (Citizenship Exam) button on UnivisionNoticias.com and Univision.com.
The number of permanent residents that applied for U.S. citizenship from October 2015 to January 2016 was the highest in four years. Though not yet available, data may show that naturalization applications also increased during the spring of 2016*.

MIAMI – 27 DE JULIO DE 2016 – Univision Noticias, la galardonada división de noticias de Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), lanzó una herramienta digital interactiva diseñada para ayudar a residentes de Estados Unidos, que han solicitado la ciudadanía, a prepararse para el examen oficial requerido por el Servicio de Ciudadanía e Inmigración de Estados Unidos (USCIS por sus siglas en inglés) como parte del proceso de naturalización.
Sencilla y fácil de usar, la herramienta “Examen de Ciudadanía” ofrece un examen de práctica con las 100 preguntas que aparecen en la prueba real del USCIS. Los usuarios pueden tomar el examen cuantas veces quieran, en inglés o español. Tras obtener su puntuación, pueden revisar sus respuestas para saber en cuáles se equivocaron y ver las respuestas correctas.
El público puede acceder a la herramienta interactiva gratuitamente en computadoras y dispositivos móviles a través del botón de “Examen de Ciudadanía” en UnivisionNoticias.com y Univision.com.
El número de residentes permanentes que solicitaron la ciudadanía de Estados Unidos entre octubre de 2015 y enero de 2016 fue el más alto en cuatro años. Aunque los datos posteriores todavía no están disponibles, es posible que demuestren que la cantidad de solicitudes de naturalización también aumentó durante la primavera de 2016*.
