As the leading Hispanic media company in the U.S., Univision is proud to help Hispanic America Be Seen, Be Heard, and Be Counted through our robust corporate social responsibility, social impact, and philanthropic efforts. These efforts stay true to the Company’s mission of informing, empowering, and entertaining the communities we serve.
Be Seen

As the principal driver of U.S. demographic growth, Hispanic America plays a central role in the United States’ economic and cultural future.  Univision focuses on ensuring that Latinos Be Seen and advance in society. We do this through investments in education, health, financial empowerment, and other initiatives that help our communities have access to information which will improve their lives. Among the events we host are local wellness and back-to-school fairs, townhalls, entrepreneur summits, and special programming. We also integrate important messages into our entertainment, digital, and news programming to provide our audiences with important information to allow advancement.

Be Heard

Univision is committed to giving voices—both in Spanish and English—to the communities we serve. Whether it be through UTEC, our tech incubator and center in our San Jose station, or through partnerships with universities and non-profits to create opportunities for Latinos in entertainment, our initiatives aim to increase diversity in media and tech and promote freedom of the press and free speech.

Be Counted

Since its founding, Univision has been at the forefront of civic engagement, promoting the Hispanic community’s clout and political presence.  Our efforts have focused on voting, immigration, citizenship, and the Census.

  • Vota Conmigo
    Our signature voting campaign has helped register and mobilize Latinos voters to participate at unprecedented levels. In crucial states, it is estimated that Hispanic voter turnout doubled in 2018 vs. 2014 (13M vs. 6.7M).
  • Census 2020
    Our 2020 Census campaign encourages every person to fill out the Census in order to ensure adequate political representation and needed resources for education, healthcare, infrastructure and other important issues.
  • Hazte Ciudadano
    Univision’s Hazte Ciudadano campaign works to encourage and connect eligible U.S. residents with the resources they need to become U.S. citizens, so they can preserve and exercise their democratic rights.
Unidos Por Los Nuestros

In addition to our corporate social responsibility and social impact efforts, Univision gives back to our communities through Unidos Por Los Nuestros, our philanthropic platform.  In 2018, Univision’s Unidos Por Los Nuestros held its first day of service where our company donated 3,400 volunteer hours, picked up 1,100 pounds of trash, served or prepared 3,300 meals, and collected 9,800 donations which totaled to 127,000 pounds of food. Our Unidos platform also supports disaster relief efforts, working with local communities to respond and provide help.
