Univision Miami launches “El Jangueo” for South Florida’s afternoon destination to hang-out with top entertainment
MIAMI – JULY 12, 2017 – Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America, today announced that Primer Impacto’s Jackie Guerrido will host “El Jangueo,” a new afternoon drive radio show on WRTO Mix 98.3 FM, starting Monday, July 17. The beloved Guerrido will bring her charisma and good humor to radio listeners in South Florida every afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The afternoon show will be interactive in style, engaging audiences via social media throughout the show while featuring giveaways and the preferred music mix for South Florida’s dynamic and diverse audience.

Born in Puerto Rico, Guerrido is no stranger to radio. She launched her radio career in New York as part of “El Vacilón de la Mañana” (Good Times in the Morning) and later settled in Miami where she joined HBC Radio. After a short stint doing traffic and weather, Guerrido was given the opportunity to host her own show on WRTO 98.3 FM.
Guerrido exited radio to become the lead meteorologist on Univision’s “Al Amanecer de Noticias 23” (Morning News at Channel 23) and “Despierta América” (Wake Up America). Currently, she is and will continue to be the lead meteorologist of Univision’s award-winning newsmagazine “Primer Impacto” (First Impact), for which she also serves as guest host.
Guerrido will be joined by Tony Banana and sidekick “El Primo,” every afternoon on “El Jangueo” to offer South Florida listeners fun-filled afternoons like never before.

Univision Miami inaugura “El Jangueo”, el destino ideal en el sur de la Florida para disfrutar la tarde con lo mejor del entretenimiento
MIAMI –12 DE JULIO DE 2017– Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), la principal empresa de medios de comunicación al servicio de la comunidad hispana en Estados Unidos, anunció hoy que Jackie Guerrido de Primer Impacto conducirá “El Jangueo”, un nuevo programa de radio en Mix 98.3 FM que se trasmitirá durante la hora de tráfico de la tarde a partir del lunes, 17 de julio. La popular Guerrido ofrecerá su carisma y sentido del humor a los radioescuchas en el sur de la Florida todas las tardes de 3:00 p. m. a 7:00 p. m. El programa vespertino será de estilo interactivo, interactuando con el público a través de redes sociales durante su transmisión incorporando regalos y destacando la mezcla de música preferida por la audiencia diversa y dinámica del sur de la Florida.

Para Guerrido, quien nació en Puerto Rico, la radio no es ninguna novedad. Lanzó su carrera radial en Nueva York como parte de “El Vacilón de la Mañana” y luego vivió en Miami, donde se incorporó a HBC Radio. Tras encargarse brevemente del informe del tránsito y del tiempo, Guerrido tuvo la oportunidad de conducir su propio programa en WRTO 98.3 FM.
Guerrido dejó la radio para trabajar como meteoróloga principal de “Al Amanecer de Noticias 23” de Univision y “Despierta América”. Ahora es y seguirá siendo la meteoróloga principal de “Primer Impacto”, el galardonado magacín noticioso de Univision, en el cual también funge como conductora sustituta.
Acompañarán a Guerrido todas las tardes en “El Jangueo”, Tony Banana y su sidekick “El Primo,” para ofrecer a los radioescuchas del sur de Florida las tardes más divertidas que nunca.
