Univision Network Dances into the No. 1 Spot on Spanish-Language TV with “Mira Quién Baila” Season Five Finale on Sunday Night

The Dance Reality Competition Finale Reaches 5.2 Million Total Viewers 2+

NEW YORK – NOVEMBER 20, 2017 – Audiences tuned in last night to watch as Dayanara Torres, former Miss Universe and Miss Puerto Rico, was crowned the winner during the season five finale of “Mira Quién Baila.” Broadcast on the Univision network from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, the hit dance reality competition series reached 5.2 million Total Viewers 2+, who tuned in to all or part of the two-hour finale. Averaging 2.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.0 million Adults 18-49 and 389,000 Adults 18-34, the finale positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the entire night, outperforming its closest competitor by double to triple-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+130%), Adults 18-49 (+108%) and Adults 18-34 (+86%).

The emotion-filled finale of “Mira Quién Baila” made Univision the fourth largest broadcast network, out-delivering FOX among Total Viewers 2+ on Sunday night. It also averaged more Adults 18-49 than the first-run episodes of ABC’s “The Toy Box,” CBS’ “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Madam Secretary,” as well as FOX’s “The Last Man on Earth.”

Additionally, “Mira Quién Baila” increased its audience during its finale telecast by double-digit margins in the last hour compared to the first hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+18%), Adults 18-49 (+21%) and Adults 18-34 (+17%).

Hosted by Chiquinquirá Delgado and Javier Poza featuring 10 celebrity contestants (Alejandro Nones, Ana Patricia Gámez, Chikybombom, Danell Leyva, Dayanara Torres, Ektor Rivera, Franco Noriega, Marlene Favela, Pablo Montero, and Victoria ‘La Mala’), season five of “Mira Quién Baila” started on September 17, 2017 and delivered an average audience 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 768,000 Adults 18-49 and 314,000 Adults 18-34 during its entire run.

SOCIAL AND DIGITAL HIGHLIGHTS

“Mira Quién Baila” (MQB) was the most social broadcast series on Sunday and the first for U.S. Hispanic audiences. The Facebook Live featuring winner Dayanara Torres, garnered 1.2 million video views and reached 2.7 million people.

Throughout the season, “Mira Quién Baila” generated over 24 million page views and 3.4 million video views. The audience was highly engaged with the show during the entire season, generating seven page views per visit.
