‘Dancing with the Stars’ Winner and Olympic Medalist, Laurie Hernández, will be present in the grand finale of MQB

WHAT’S NEW:
- On the closing night of MQB, the opening act will be star studded as professional choreographer Beau ‘Casper’ Smart takes the stage with the 3 finalists:
- Ana Patricia Gámez: Former “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) champion and current entertainment co-host of Univision’s morning show “Despierta América” (Wake Up, America)
- Danell Leyva: Cuban American gymnast, who competed representing USA – winning the Bronze Medal during the 2012 Olympic games in London
- Dayanara Torres: 1993 Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Universe
- Beau ‘Casper’ Smart will also be one of the surprise stars for the grand finale, making a return as a guest judge, alongside MQB judges Johnny Lozada and Javier ‘Poty’ Castillo.
- Laurie Hernández, Olympic Gold & Silver Medalist and last year’s Dancing with the Stars winner, will be showing off her moves on Hispanic TV while dancing a foxtrot and tango number. Former Olympic USA teammate Danell Leyva will join her on this special presentation.
There will be lot of dancing during the finale as the finalists will be featured in two rounds:
- First Round: Ana Patricia will dance hip hop, Danell an urban rhythm, while Dayanara shows us an adagio.
- Second Round: It’s a round of “Who Dances It Better?” where each finalist will pick a dance, already danced by a previous contestant, that they think they can dance, but better.
The MQB finalists leave their hearts on the stage one last time in hopes of donating the grand prize of $50,000 to their respective and beloved charities:
- Ana Patricia Gámez: TeletónUSA and its Children’s Rehabilitation Institute (CRIT-USA), which addresses neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Danell Leyva: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a privately funded not-for-profit corporation, with the mission of prevention of cruelty to animals in the United States.
- Dayanara Torres: San Jorge Children’s Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and welfare of children in Puerto Rico.
Voting was done through the Univision Conecta app and through Mira Quién Baila’s Facebook page. Although the chance to vote has already expired, the contestants and viewers will not know the results until the LIVE grand finale on Sunday.
Season 5 of “Mira Quién Baila” was one of the most exciting and captivating seasons to date. The competition that started in September with 10 celebrity contestants Marlene Favela, Franco Noriega, Pablo Montero, Victoria ‘La Mala,’ Chikybombom, Alejandro Nones, and Ektor Rivera, it’s now down to three finalists Ana Patricia Gámez, Danell Leyva and Dayanara Torres. Only one will be crowned the winner of the 5th season of ¡Mira Quién Baila!
On Saturday, November 18th at 10 p.m., tune-in for a look back at what has been an unforgettable fifth season of “Mira Quién Baila” on Univision Network. “MQB… El Camino a la Gran Final” (MQB, Journey to the Grand Finale) will take the audience back to the beginning of the contestants’ journey at MQB as well as never before seen interviews of the three finalists. We’ll find out about all their struggles, injuries and controversies they had to overcome and make it to the grand finale. This TV special will be full of surprises and behind the scenes footage.

- La noche final de MQB, en el acto inicial estelar, el coreógrafo profesional Beau “Casper” Smart se presenta en el escenario con los tres finalistas:
- Ana Patricia Gámez: Ex ganadora de “Nuestra Belleza Latina” y actual copresentadora de entretenimiento del programa matutino “Despierta América” de Univision
- Danell Leyva: Gimnasta cubanoamericano que compitió por Estados Unidos y ganó una medalla de bronce durante las Olimpiadas de 2012 en Londres
- Dayanara Torres: Miss Puerto Rico y Miss Universo de 1993
- Beau “Casper” Smart también será una de las estrellas sorpresa en la gran final y regresará como juez invitado del lado de Johnny Lozada y de Javier ‘Poty’ Castillo de MQB.
- Laurie Hernández, ganadora de medallas de oro y plata en las Olimpiadas y de Dancing with the Stars el año pasado, también mostrará sus dotes de baile en la televisión hispana con un número de foxtrot y tango. Abundarán los bailes durante el último episodio pues los finalistas participarán en dos rondas:

- Segunda ronda: Es una ronda de “¿Quién lo baila mejor?”, en la que cada finalista seleccionará un baile en el que ya haya participado un concursante previamente y que cada finalista piensa que puede bailar mejor.
Los finalistas de MQB dan todo de sí en el escenario una última vez con la esperanza de donar el gran premio de $50,000 a su obra benéfica preferida:
