Univision Continues Reign as No. 1 Spanish-Language Network for 19th Consecutive Week

Liga MX Soccer Pushes Univision Ahead of CBS and FOX on Saturday Among Adults 18-49

In the current week, Univision was the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Total Viewers 2+, beating its competitor by (+2%).

  • 2016/2017 season to-date, Univision continues to be the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Total Viewers 2+, outperforming its closest Spanish-language competitor for nineteen consecutive weeks.
  • 2016/2017 season to-date, Univision continues to be the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Adults 18-49.

Univision beat FOX for the fourth consecutive week among Adults 18-34 (+12%).

Univision out-ranked FOX during the weekday 8pm hour among Adults 18-34 (+4% adv.). Airing Tuesday-Friday Univision’s new 8pm series, “Enamorándome de Ramón” (Falling in Love with Ramón) attracted 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 588,000 Adults 18-49 and 261,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision strengthened its advantage over FOX during the Monday-Friday 9pm hour with Adults 18-34 (+45%) and Adults 18-49 (+21%). “La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo” (The Double Life of Estela Carrillo) attracted 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 638,000 Adults 18-49 and 281,000 Adults 18-34.

The premiere of Univision’s new epic drama “La Tierra Prometida” (The Promised Land) secured Univision as the No. 3 network in the weekday 10pm hour with Adults 18-34, beating CBS (+23%) and ABC (+42%). In its premiere week “La Tierra Prometida” attracted 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 639,000 Adults 18-49 and 262,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night this past week among Adults 18-34 and on four out of seven nights with Adults 18-49.

  • On Monday night, Univision outperformed CBS and FOX as the No. 4 broadcast network with both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.
    • Univision surpassed CBS (+72%) and FOX (+18%) with Adults 18-34. This marks the tenth consecutive Monday that Univision out-delivered FOX and twelfth beating CBS among Adults 18-34.
    • Univision also beat CBS (+48%) by double-digit margins among Adults 18-49, the fourth consecutive Monday. Univision also reported a +12% advantage over FOX with Adults 18-49.
    • Univision was the No.3 broadcast network among both Adults 18-34 for the fourth consecutive Tuesday night and ranked No. 4 with Adults 18-49 ahead of ABC and FOX in both demographics.
      • Univision delivered substantially more Adults 18-34 viewers than FOX (+50%), ABC (+40%) and CBS (+15%).
      • Univision also averaged more Adults 18-49 than FOX (+15%) and ABC (+1%).
    • On Wednesday night Univision beat ABC (+2%) with Adults 18-34.
    • On Thursday night Univision ranked No. 3, beating FOX (+13%), NBC (+20%) and ABC (+22%) with Adults 18-34.
    • Univision rose to the No. 2 position among Adults 18-34 on Friday night, and beat FOX among Adults 18-49.
      • Univision out-delivered FOX (+45%), CBS (+39%) and ABC (+20%) with Adults 18-34.
      • In the current season, Univision is the top pick over FOX among Adults 18-34. Univision attracted more Adults 18-34 viewers than FOX on 38 out of 47 Friday nights, 81% of the nights this season-to-date.
      • With Adults 18-49, Univision beat FOX by +5%.
    • Airing back-to-back Liga MX soccer matches on Saturday night, Univision ranked No. 3 with Adults 18-34 and rose to the No. 4 position with Adults 18-49, beating FOX and CBS in both demographics.
      • With Adults 18-49, Univision significantly outperformed FOX (+78%) and beat CBS by +11%
      • Univision also delivered more than double the Adults 18-34 viewers than FOX (+120%), more than half the viewers of CBS (+63%), and outperformed NBC (+6%).
  • On Sunday night Univision was the No. 4 broadcast network among Adults 18-34, finishing the night ahead of NBC (+2%).
