David Rabinowitz is Executive Vice President of Broadcast Operations and Technology at Univision, the leading Hispanic media company in the United States. Rabinowitz is responsible for broadcast, engineering and production operations at Univision’s networks, local radio and television stations and oversees Univision’s facilities infrastructure nationwide. Rabinowitz joined Univision in 2011, as SVP Technology Strategy, focused on media asset management and broadcast distribution technology.
Prior to joining Univision, Rabinowitz worked at NBC Network in a wide range of technical and operational roles. Rabinowitz was involved in the development of election and sports graphics display systems, implementation and operation of news editorial production systems, traffic operations, and the migration of broadcast operations to a file-based origination/playout system and digital satellite distribution of network programming. Rabinowitz joined NBC after working at Chyron Corporation, in field, design and project engineering roles.
Rabinowitz has been awarded a patent for digital video switching, as well as an Emmy Award for Olympics Technical Operations. Rabinowitz is a graduate of Stony Brook University, and holds a Private Pilot as well as FCC General Radiotelephone and amateur radio licenses.
