Christopher Furst is Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Univision Communications Inc., the largest Spanish-language content company in the United States, since 2012.
As a direct report to the CEO, he is responsible for information technology applications, infrastructure and operations across Univision’s portfolio of media properties. Mr. Furst’s technology portfolio services all corporate functions, broadcast & cable networks, Local TV & Radio stations, as well as Univision’s content supply chain. He serves as chair of the Univision Information Security Committee, Co-Chair of the Univision Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Committee and Co-Leader of Univision’s Covid-19 Crisis Response Team.
Prior to Univision, Mr. Furst served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at NBCUniversal from 2006-2012 where he was globally responsible for Information Technology across NBCUniversal’s entire portfolio of media properties. Mr. Furst served as a member of the NBCUniversal Leadership Council throughout his tenure. He played instrumental leadership roles in the acquisition integration of Universal Studios by NBC and later in the spin-out of NBCUniversal from GE during Comcast’s acquisition of NBCUniversal.
As a David Rockefeller Fellow, he was sponsored by the CEO of NBCUniversal to work with the Partnership for New York City to focus on improving the effectiveness of public/private partnerships and civic leadership.
Mr. Furst has served on the board of directors of several non-profits including the Technology Business Management Council and NPower.
Mr. Furst received his B.S. in Management from Fairfield University, where he has been a member of the President’s Circle and the Multicultural Scholarship fundraising committee.
