WHAT’S NEW:
After the last gala’s dramatic ending, with all the contestants at risk of elimination, this Sunday, “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty / NBL) will reveal which candidate will leave the competition following the over one million votes cast by the audience. Hosted by Alejandra Espinoza, the third gala will feature a musical performance by Mexican regional star Chiquis who will take the stage with her single “Mi Problema.”
“Despierta America” host Francisca (NBL 2015) will put the candidates’ acting skills to the test in this week’s “The Queen’s Challenge,” a new segment where a former NBL winner returns to present one of the show’s classic challenges but with a twist. Kimberly Dos Ramos and Marlene Favela, stars of Univision’s hit primetime novela “La Desalmada,” will have a special participation as mentor and participant during the performances, respectively. The actor and model Pedro Moreno will also partake in the challenge.
As always, judges Daniella Álvarez, Giselle Blondet, Jomari Goyso, and Adal Ramones will decide the winner of the challenge. Gabriel Coronel will continue to bring the latest news from backstage and Amara La Negra will test the contestants’ resistance with another “reward challenge” for NBL mansion commodities.
ON LAST SUNDAY SHOW:
Last Sunday, the show revealed the secret behind the NBL mansion, the house where all the contestants live during the show is empty. The hopefuls will have to win weekly challenges facing each other to get commodities. Also, Fabién Laurencio became the last finalist to join the show.
“The Queen’s Challenge” proved why “Nuestra Belleza Latina” is TV’s most demanding job interview. As part of the challenge chosen by Greidys Gil (NBL 2009), the candidates had to report from a hurricane, with the added twist that some had to do their reporting from a raging fire. Univision Noticias anchor and “Despierta en Domingo” host María Antonieta Collins mentored the hopefuls for the challenging task. The candidates failed to impress the judges, who decided to leave their fate in the audience’s hands.
The show opened with a spectacular performance by superstar Farruko and his worldwide megahit “Pepas.” The second gala featured Mexican regional legends Banda MS performing their single “Positivo” during the high couture runway.

Después del dramático final de la última gala, con todas las concursantes en peligro de eliminación, este domingo, “Nuestra Belleza Latina” revelará cuál candidata dejará la competencia después de que la audiencia emitió más de un millón de votos. Conducida por Alejandra Espinoza, la tercera gala incluirá actuaciones musicales por Chiquis, estrella de música regional mexicana, quien presentará en el escenario su sencillo “Mi problema”.
Francisca (NBL 2015), presentadora de “Despierta América”, someterá a prueba los dotes para la actuación de las candidatas en “El reto de la reina”, un nuevo segmento en el que una ganadora pasada de NBL vuelve para presentar uno de los típicos retos del show, pero con un giro. Kimberly Dos Ramos y Marlene Favela, estrellas de “La Desalmada”, la exitosa novela de horario estelar de Univision, tendrán una participación especial como mentora y participante durante las actuaciones, respectivamente. El actor y modelo Pedro Moreno también participará en el desafío.
Como siempre, el jurado, compuesto por Daniella Álvarez, Giselle Blondet, Jomari Goyso y Adal Ramones, escogerá a la ganadora del desafío. Gabriel Coronel continuará presentando las últimas noticias desde detrás del escenario, y Amara La Negra pondrá a prueba la resistencia de las chicas en otro emocionante reto de recompensa por las comodidades de la mansión.
DURANTE EL PROGRAMA DEL DOMINGO PASADO:
El domingo pasado, el show reveló el secreto de la mansión de NBL: la casa en la que viven todas las concursantes durante el programa está vacía. Las aspirantes tendrán que ganar desafíos semanales en los que se enfrentarán las unas a las otras para lograr comodidades. Además, Fabién Laurencio fue la última finalista en unirse al show.
“El reto de la reina” probó por qué “Nuestra Belleza Latina” es la más exigente entrevista de trabajo de la televisión. Como parte del desafío seleccionado por Greidys Gil (NBL 2009), las candidatas tuvieron que reportar desde un huracán, con un giro: algunas debieron presentar su reportaje desde un incendio fuera de control. María Antonieta Collins, presentadora de Univision Noticias y conductora de “Despierta en Domingo”, asesoró a las candidatas en la difícil tarea. Sin embargo, las candidatas no llegaron a impresionar a los miembros del jurado, quienes decidieron dejar su destino en manos de la audiencia.
El show empezó con una actuación espectacular por la superestrella Farruko con “Pepas”, su enorme éxito internacional. Además, la legendaria Banda MS de música regional mexicana presentó su sencillo “Positivo” durante la pasarela de alta costura.
