MIAMI – JUNE 10, 2021 – Univision News announces a town hall special with the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra: “Al Punto Presents: Vaccines, Concerns and Expectations,” to be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at 10 a.m. ET / 9 a.m. CT / 4 p.m. PT on the Univision Network.
President Joe Biden has designated June as a National Month of Action, an effort to boost the number of vaccinated people and ensure that 70 percent of adults in the United States have at least one dose of the vaccine by July 4. The 70 percent mark will be difficult to achieve without Latinos.
According to a survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation, 33 percent of unvaccinated Latino adults want the vaccine as soon as possible. However, many worry they will have to miss work to take the necessary time to get vaccinated. Others think that they must pay for the vaccine. The same study found that nearly 40 percent of unvaccinated Latinos fear that they would need to prove immigration status to get the vaccine and about 1/3 said they fear jeopardizing their immigration status or the immigration status of a family member. Others have heard that the vaccine may be harmful to women’s reproductive systems.

MIAMI – 10 DE JUNIO DE 2021 – Univision Noticias anuncia foro especial con el director del Instituto Nacional de Alergias y Enfermedades Infecciosas, Dr. Anthony Fauci y el secretario de Salud y Servicios Humanos, Xavier Becerra: “Al Punto Presenta: Vacunas, Preocupaciones y Expectativas,”el cual se llevará a cabo este domingo 13 de junio a las 10 a.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT por Univision.
El presidente Joe Biden ha decretado junio como el Mes de Acción Nacional, un esfuerzo para aumentar la cantidad de personas vacunadas y asegurarse que el 70 por ciento de los adultos en los Estados Unidos se pongan por lo menos la primera dosis de una de las vacunas contra el COVID-19 antes del 4 de julio.
Según una encuesta de la Fundación de la Familia Kaiser, el 33 por ciento de los adultos latinos no vacunados quieren ponerse la vacuna lo antes posible.
