UniMás Reports Week-Over-Week Primetime Audience Growth Across All Key Demos

UniMás Tops ABC, CBS, NBC and Telemundo on Friday and Saturday Night Among Adults 18-34

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of December 28, 2020 to January 3, 2021

  • UniMás averaged 435,000 Total Viewers 2+, 225,000 Adults 18-49 and 100,000 Adults 18-34 for the entire week during primetime. UniMás grew its primetime audience week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+5% to 435,000), Adults 18-49 (+17% to 225,000) and Adults 18-34 (+35% to 100,000). UniMás also attracted more Adult 18-34 viewers (+3% to 100,000) during primetime versus the same week last year.
  • UniMás outperformed The CW by triple-digit margins during primetime among Adults 18-49 (+112% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+170% adv.), marking the 15th consecutive week among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in the current 2020/2021 season.
  • On Friday Night, the special New Year’s presentation of “Cineplex: The Revenant” out-delivered ABC (+20% adv.), CBS (+30% adv.), NBC (+36% adv.) and Telemundo (+61% adv.) by double-digit margins among Adults 18-34. The film also topped CBS (+15% adv.) and Telemundo (+21% adv.) with double-digit audience advantages among Adults 18-49. The movie grew the network’s 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. time period by double-to-triple digit margins week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+52% to 701,000), Adults 18-49 (+76% to 391,000) and Adults 18-34 (+124% to 166,000). The movie also increased the time slot by triple-digits year-over-year across all key demos. “Cineplex: The Revenant” currently ranks as the highest-rated primetime feature film in the current 2020/2021 season on the UniMás network with Adults 18-34 (166,000).
  • On Saturday night, UniMás out-delivered ABC (+79% adv.), CBS (+63% adv.), NBC (+67% adv.), FOX (+133% adv.) and Telemundo (+8% adv.) among Adults 18-34 with a movie line-up that included (“Cineplex: Bee Movie” and “CineNight: Zookeeper”). UniMás also outperformed ABC (+4% adv.), CBS (+2% adv.) and FOX (+48% adv.) among Adults 18-49 for the entire night. The movie line-up delivered double-digit audience growth to the network’s 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. time slot week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+74% to 658,000), Adults 18-49 (+55% to 297,000) and Adults 18-34 (+61% to 135,000). The line-up also increased the time period year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+3% to 658,000), Adults 18-49 (+5% to 297,000) and Adults 18-34 (+21% to 135,000).
  • Airing Monday to Thursday, UniMás’ 10 p.m. novela series “La Bella y Las Bestias” attracted 197,000 Total Viewers 2+, 84,000 Adults 18-49 and 41,000 Adults 18-34. The novela series increased its audience week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+15%), Adults 18-49 (+2%) and Adults 18-34 (+46%).
  • UniMás out-delivered the combined audience of Azteca, Estrella TV and TeleXitos for the entire week during primetime with double-to-triple digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+79% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+165% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+194% adv.).
