El Dasa Also Won the Audience’s Popular Vote and Received an Additional $10,000 for His Designated Charity
MIAMI – NOVEMBER 29, 2020 – The premiere season of Univision’s “Tu Cara Me Suena” came to a grand finale in a spectacular sixth gala where El Dasa was declared winner of the competition. El Dasa also won the audience’s popular vote in the favorite celebrity contest.
From the first gala, El Dasa dazzled judges Charytín, Kany García, Jesús Navarro, and Angélica Vale with his versatility to transform into different music icons, while delivering incredible vocal performances. He will donate the $40,000 prize to the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), which is made of diverse immigrant families and individuals who act as agents of social change to achieve a world with freedom of mobility, full human rights, and true participatory democracy.
With his performance of Cristian Castro, El Dasa was also the winner of the sixth gala. The first round of performances included Chantal Andere taking the stage as Spanish icon Rocío Durcal; Gabriel Coronel as salsa and pop idol Marc Anthony; Llane as global icon Ricky Martin; Sandra Echeverría as pop singer Thalía; Melina León as salsa singer La India and Pablo Montero as Mexican regional legend Joan Sebastian. As always, the winner of the gala received $5,000 for his charity.
Additionally, the audience was able to vote for their favorite celebrity and El Dasa was voted as the most popular contestant by the fans and received an additional $10,000 for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights. The announcement was made during Univision’s entertainment show “Sal y Pimienta.”
The magic night continued with a second round of unforgettable performances that brought back the celebrities to the stage where they performed duets. The numbers included Sandra Echeverría as Thalia with Pablo Montero as Joan Sebastian; El Dasa as Cristian Castro with Chantal Andere as Rocío Dúrcal; Melina León as La India with Gabriel Coronel as Marc Anthony and Llane as Ricky Martin with urban artist Yotuel.

Además, El Dasa también ganó el voto popular de la audiencia, quienes votaron por su estrella favorita.
Desde la primera gala, El Dasa deslumbró a los miembros del jurado, Charytín, Kany García, Jesús Navarro y Angélica Vale, con su versatilidad para transformarse en diversos ídolos de la música y, a la vez, ofrecer fabulosas interpretaciones vocales. Él donará el premio de $40,000 a Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), una entidad compuesta por diversas familias y personas inmigrantes que actúan como agentes del cambio social para lograr un mundo con libertad de movilización, plenos derechos humanos y una verdadera democracia participativa.
El Dasa también fue el ganador de la sexta gala con una interpretación de Cristian Castro.
