En la Vida de Joan Sebastian (In the Life of Joan Sebastian)



A three-week celebration commemorating the heroes of Regional Mexican music. Content includes the first-ever Univision prime mini-series based on the life of the iconic Joan Sebastian. It will focus on his love life along with his passion for his music and fans. The mini series will be bookended by two concert specials featuring the most popular Regional Mexican acts: Los Tigres del Norte (the weekend before the series premiers) and Vicente Fernandez (the weekend after the series premiere).


1- An Iconic Figure- Known as a “poet of the people,” Joan wrote over 1000 songs and won seven Latin Grammys and five Grammys, making him the most awarded star in history. He was still reaching career heights at the time of his tragic death at 64 last year.

2- Family First- Joan’s sons Jose Manuel and Julian Figueroa will play Joan Sebastian at different stages of his life.

3- Two Concerts- 1.Los Tigres del Norte recently sold out the 100k seats in Azteca Stadium (double the size of Yankee stadium) 2. Vicente Fernandez (The Mexican Sinatra) is known for his acting, filmmaking and singing.
