José Valle

President, Univision Radio

José Valle is president of Univision Radio, a division of the premier Spanish-language media company in the United States, Univision Communications Inc. Univision Radio, the leading Spanish-language radio broadcaster in the U.S., owns and operates 70 radio stations in 16 of the top U.S. Hispanic markets and five stations in Puerto Rico. Mr. Valle oversees the expanding portfolio and operations for Univision Radio.

Mr. Valle, a veteran broadcast executive, most recently served as vice president and general manager of Univision Radio Los Angeles. In that role, he oversaw the Company’s radio station cluster in the LA market, which includes KLVE-FM, KSCA-FM, KTNQ-AM and KRCD/KRCV-FM.

Prior to joining Univision, he served as president and general manager of Telemundo’s flagship station KVEA as well as overseeing operations for Spanish-language independent KWHY station in Los Angeles from 2008 to 2010. Before that position, Mr. Valle was vice president and general manager of KXTX/Dallas, from 2002 to 2008, where he played a key role in the consolidation and integration of operations with the NBC owned and operated station, KXAS.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Valle served as vice president and general manager of various radio stations, including Univision Radio precursor Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation’s Las Vegas three-station cluster; Dallas-Fort Worth’s seven-station, four-format cluster; and was involved with the acquisition and flip of KLNO, which was the winner of the Marconi Award for Station of the Year and HBC Station of the Year, both in 2001.

Mr. Valle was named Radio Ink Magazine Executive of the Year 2012 and appeared on Radio Ink Magazine’s 40 Most Powerful People in Radio. He was also recognized as one of 2011’s Latin Power Players by Billboard. He is a Member of the National Association of Broadcasters Joint Board of Directors and sits on the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Radio Board.
