Jessica Rodriguez is executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America. In this role, Rodriguez oversees all UCI marketing functions, including the Univision Agency, which creates and oversees all promotional, creative and media inventory valued at more than $500 million across the UCI’s broadcast, cable, radio and digital properties. She reports directly to the CEO.
Rodriguez most recently served as executive vice president of Program Scheduling and Promotions where she was responsible for strategically helping to maximize UCI’s programming decision-making process across all UCI networks and platforms. She is a member of the steering committee for UCI’s Women’s Leadership Council. Previously, she served as senior vice president of Univision Cable Networks, and prior to that, vice president, special assistant to the president of Univision Networks. She began her career at UCI as an intern in LA and later moved to Puerto Rico where she helped launch and lead the station to market. During her time there, she served in multiple roles, most recently as VP/Station Manager. Earlier in her career, Rodriguez served as an analyst and then an associate for the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City, and later as an analyst for the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone.
Rodriguez has been named as one of People en Español’s 25 Most Powerful Women, CableFax’s Most Influential Minorities in Cable, a Wonder Woman by Multichannel News, included in the 2014 Power Women list by MOVES Magazine, and is a 2015 recipient of NAMIC’s Next Generation Leader Award.
She received an MBA from Stanford University School of Business and a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Fordham University.
