Created in Partnership with immi.org, Univision’s New Legal Assistance Search Tool for Immigrants is Available at UnivisionNoticias.com
MIAMI – JANUARY 26, 2017 – Univision News, the award-winning news division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America, today is launching an interactive digital tool designed to help U.S. immigrants find local nonprofit organizations that offer immigration-related advice and/or legal services free of charge or at a low cost.
By inputting a zip code or any U.S. address in the search tool, users will be provided with a list of nonprofit groups in their area that are prepared to assist them in matters related to immigration – from explaining their rights and options to offering legal counsel or representation.
The Legal Assistance Search Tool for Immigrants is available in the immigration section of UnivisionNoticias.com beginning today. It will also be accessible via links in all articles published on the topic of immigration in Univision News platforms. As the result of an alliance between Univision News and immi, the search tool uses data provided by immi.org, a new platform available in English and Spanish that helps immigrants understand their immigration options, learn about their rights, and connect with trusted nonprofit organizations. Immi was created by the Immigration Advocates Network and Pro Bono Net.
Univision News does not guarantee the provision of services by any of the organizations listed in the search tool or results of those services. Its role is limited to providing contact information on available nonprofit immigration/legal organizations in users’ local geographical areas.

(UCI), hoy lanza una herramienta digital interactiva diseñada para ayudar a inmigrantes en Estados Unidos a encontrar organizaciones locales sin fines de lucro que ofrezcan asesoría y/o servicios legales en el área de inmigración de manera gratuita o a bajo costo.
Al introducir un número de código postal o cualquier dirección de Estados Unidos en el buscador, el usuario verá una lista de grupos sin fines de lucro, ubicados en su zona, que pueden ofrecerle asistencia en asuntos relacionados con la inmigración – desde explicarle sus derechos y opciones hasta brindarle asesoría o representación legal.
El Buscador de Ayuda Legal para Inmigrantes de Univision está disponible a partir de hoy en la sección de inmigración de UnivisionNoticias.com. También se podrá acceder a él vía enlaces en todos los artículos sobre el tema de la inmigración publicados en plataformas de Univision Noticias. Como resultado de una alianza entre Univision Noticias e Immi, el buscador utiliza datos proporcionados por immi.org, una nueva plataforma en inglés y español que ayuda a los inmigrantes a entender sus opciones migratorias, conocer sus derechos y ponerse en contacto con organizaciones confiables sin fines de lucro.
