Univision Broadcast of USA-Mexico Reaches 7.7 million Viewers and is Top-Rated World Cup Qualifying Match on Any Network in Over Three Years
NEW YORK – NOVEMBER 15, 2016 – Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc., (UCI) that includes UDN, the No. 1 Spanish-language cable sports network, today announced strong results for Friday’s World Cup qualifying match between USA and Mexico. Friday’s match on Univision Network, simulcast on UDN, reached 7.7 million P2+, and averaged 4.6 million P2+ and 2.5 million Adults 18-49. This marks the best rated World Cup qualifier match on any network since the USA and Mexico match in March 2013.

Furthermore, Univision’s local coverage of the match made it the No. 1 broadcast station during the time period (7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. ET, live across time zones) among Total Viewers 2+ in Los Angeles. Additionally, Univision was the No. 1 broadcast station among Adults 18-49 in Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, Phoenix and Sacramento, as well as No. 1 with Adults 18-34 in Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Phoenix and Sacramento.
