Univision Arizona Receives Overall Excellence Emmy® for “Véndeme Tu Sueño”

Station Honored with 13 Awards During 39^th Annual Rocky Mountain Emmy^® Ceremony

Emmy-winning Univision Arizona KTVW 33 team on the evening of October 8, 2016

PHOENIX, AZ – OCTOBER 11, 2016 – Univision Arizona, part of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America, today announced it was honored with 13 Emmy^® Awards on Saturday, October 8, by the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).

Notable wins for Univision Arizona –KTVW Univision 33– include the Overall Excellence Emmy^® for “Véndeme Tu Sueño” (Pitch Me Your Dream), the Univision Contigo entrepreneurship program brought to life in collaboration with SEED SPOT, which aims to support and mentor aspiring Hispanic entrepreneurs in Arizona. Additionally, Heidi Renpenning was awarded in the Talent Anchor–News category, María Daniela Zavala’s work in “The Other Face of Sudan” was awarded in the Video Journalist category, among others.

Equipo de Univision Arizona KTVW 33 ganador del Emmy en la noche del 8 de octubre de 2016

PHOENIX, AZ – 11 DE OCTUBRE DE 2016 – Univision Arizona, parte de Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), la empresa principal de medios de comunicación al servicio de la comunidad hispana en los Estados Unidos, anunció hoy que recibió 13 premios Emmy^® el sábado, 8 de octubre, de la filial de las Montañas Rocosas y el sudoeste de la Academia Nacional de Ciencias y Artes de la Televisión (NATAS).

Entre los galardones notables de Univision Arizona –KTVW Univision 33– están el Emmy^® a Excelencia General por “Véndeme tu Sueño”, el programa de espíritu empresarial de Univision Contigo, originado en colaboración con SEED SPOT, que se dedica a apoyar y preparar a hispanos que aspiran a ser empresarios en Arizona. Además, Heidi Renpenning recibió un premio bajo la categoría Presentador(a) de Noticias, y el trabajo de María Daniela Zavala en “El otro rostro de Sudán” ganó bajo la categoría de Periodista Gráfico, entre otros.
