Jennifer Peña Repeats Win at 2003 South Texas Music Awards

Latin platinum recording artist takes home two key awards

Woodland Hills, CA -- For a second year in a row, Jennifer Peña won the “Female Vocalist of the Year” and “Female Entertainer of the Year” awards at the second edition of the South Texas Music Awards, which took place last Tuesday, November 18 in the City de Corpus Christi, Texas.

The South Texas Music Awards seek to recognize the best in Mexican-Regional music in the Southern part of Texas, as implied by its name.  The award ceremony was sponsored by KLHB Radio and included the participation of more than 4,000 participants, among them the beautiful and talented, Jennifer Peña, recording artist for Univision Records.

The star-studded evening gained momentum when Peña appeared on stage to present one of the evening’s awards. Last year she delighted the audience and her loyal fans with her number one hit single, “El Dolor De Tu Presencia.  The talented performer ignited the crowd with three additional “cumbia” tracks,  "A Fuego Lento," "Entre El Delirio y La Locura" and  "Tu Me Completas,” from her latest album titled, “Libre.”

Currently, Peña is in the recording studio preparing her upcoming full-length album due in retail stores in mid March 2004.  This new album promises to exceed the success of her Platinum album “Libre” and surpass all of her fans’ expectations with an album that will be fully loaded with cutting edge Latin music, the only way Peña delivers her music.
