Univision Interactive Media achieves record-breaking results with this year's "Nuestra Belleza Latina".
Digital leader generates 210% increase in text message votes and double-digit growth in online traffic compared to last year.
New York, NY -- Univision Interactive Media, Inc., the digital division of Univision Communications Inc., the leading Spanish-language media company in the United States, today announced record-breaking results for this season’s “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty), Univision Network’s popular show that combines the glamour of a beauty competition with the excitement of reality television. Fans interacted on their mobile phones and online like never before, with mobile voting skyrocketing 210% over last year, and traffic to the Univision.com miscrosite (keyword: Nuestra Belleza Latina) generating double-digit growth during the season.
“The level of engagement we created around ‘Nuestra Belleza Latina’ clearly demonstrates the power of a fully-integrated cross-platform user experience,” said Kevin Conroy, president of Univision Interactive Media. “The success of this year’s event is a result of seamless integration, and reflects the new approach we’re taking to build interactive programming experiences around Univision’s most important programming events.”
As in previous years, AT&T subscribers voted for their favorite contestants via text message and toll free voting, casting millions of votes throughout the season. Over 12% of these votes came from text messages.
Exclusive mobile coverage on AT&T is non-stop with post-show highlights and behind the scenes video clips, downloads of the finalists, and the latest news and photos on our mobile website. To date, coverage of “Nuestra Belleza Latina” on the mobile website has generated nearly two million page views, with traffic still growing. Univision.com also saw unprecedented interaction with over 45 million total page views (56% growth) and more than three million total visits (60% increase) to the show’s microsite, compared to last year. In addition, “Nuestra Belleza Latina” was the most-searched keyword across all of Univision.com during this season. Fans are still visiting Univision.com daily to view exclusive interviews and behind the scenes footage, share opinions on forums, and follow winner highlights.
