MARKET TALK: Univision Sees Better Growth In Retrans Rev

New York, NY -- (Dow Jones) Univision, the Spanish-language broadcaster, now expects revenue gains from distribution fees paid to it by pay-TV operators in return for its programming to reach $175M this year, company spokeswoman says. Previously, the company had estimated the revenue gain would be closer to $100M. The broadcaster says such revenue will more than double over the next three to five years. It's currently raising cash in the bond market after reaching a deal with its lenders to amend its senior secured credit agreement, relaxing the financial covenant in the pact. Univision was taken private in a leveraged buyout in 2007. (NAT)
