Univision Anchor Maria Elena Salinas Keynotes National Hispanic Women’s Conference Luncheon

Miami, FL -- María Elena Salinas, the most recognized Hispanic female journalist in the U.S., is this year’s distinguished keynote speaker at the 18th annual Hispanic Women’s Conference luncheon, on October 24 in Phoenix, Arizona. Salinas, a respected voice in the Hispanic community, will address the conference’s theme “Latinas: Our Foundation, Our Future” by offering professional empowerment recounting the many opportunities that she has been afforded throughout her 20-year career as a Hispanic female journalist.

The conference has long served as a career development opportunity for many young Hispanic women.  Salinas, a tireless advocate for Hispanics in the United States, is widely recognized for her work mentoring and guiding young Hispanics including encouraging gifted journalism students to follow in her footsteps through the creation her yearly scholarship, the Maria Elena Salinas Scholarship for Excellence in Spanish-language News Media.
