A Seamstress, A Heart Attack, A Transplant – All Lead To "The Bride’s Veil," Univision’s New Novela To Debut Aug. 18, 8pm
Miami, FL -- Univision debuts “Velo de Novia” (“The Bride’s Veil”), the story of a man who has been privileged to be loved deeply by two generous women, with the same passion, tenderness, devotion…and heart. Produced by Televisa, the novela includes a star-studded cast with performances by Susana Gonzalez, Eduardo Santamarina, Cynthia Klitbo, Marlene Favela, and Hector Suarez and will premiere on Univision Network on Monday, August 18, airing weekdays from 8pm to 9pm ET/PT (7pm to 8pm Central/Mountain Time).
Andrea (Susana Gonzalez) is a beautiful young woman, with an immense to desire to live, despite her cardiac condition. Working as a modest seamstress, Andrea designs an elaborate wedding veil for Raquela (Cynthia Klitbo), who is engaged to Jose Manuel (Eduardo Santamarina). An honorable man, Jose Manuel does not suspect the wickedness in his fiancée’s soul and does not realize until the wedding date is near that the one he truly loves is Raquela’s sister, Angeles (Marlene Favela). Jose Manuel’s life takes a horrible turn when he breaks the engagement. Raquela becomes infuriated and causes an accident where Angeles’ life is suddenly taken. As Angeles is being rushed to the hospital in vain, Andrea has a heart attack. Andrea receives a new lease on life when Angeles donates her heart allowing Andrea to receive a long-awaited heart transplant.
After his terrible loss, Jose Manuel becomes bitter and disappointed until he meets Andrea. Although Andrea and Jose Manuel are strangers at the start of the story, their lives are forever intertwined by fate and they must prove that love is made possible by much more than a few fast heartbeats.
“Velo de Novia” will change other program schedules as follows:
- Novela “Rebeca” airing Monday through Friday moves to a new time period, from 2-3pm ET/PT (1-2pm Central and Mountain Time). - Novela “Clase 406” airing Monday through Friday, starts airing in a shorter, one hour duration from 3-4pm ET/PT (2-3pm Central and Mountain Time). “Velo de Novia” will be seen on Univision Network Monday through Friday from 8 pm to 9 pm ET/PT (7 pm to 8 pm Central/Mountain Time).
