Ramon J. Pineda Named Vice President and General Manager of Univision and Telefutura Stations in Phoenix and Tucson
Los Angeles, CA -- Univision Communications Inc. (NYSE: UVN), the leading Spanish-language media company in the United States, today announced that Ramon J. Pineda will assume the role of Vice President and General Manager of the Univision Network stations KTVW-Phoenix and KUVE-Tucson, in addition to TeleFutura Network stations KFPH-Phoenix and KFTU-Tucson, effective immediately. Pineda will be based in Phoenix and will report to Thomas Arnost and Michael D. Wortsman, Co-Presidents, Univision Television Group.

Pineda was previously Vice President and General Manager of Telemundo’s WNJU-New York, a position he held for more than two years. Prior to his work with Telemundo, Pineda spent five years as President of Caballero Spanish Media, the largest dedicated Spanish radio sales force in the industry, where he also began his career in 1985 as a sales account executive in New York. From 1987 to 1995 Pineda held various sales positions with Telemundo, Hispanic Broadcasting and GEMS International Television.
Pineda earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University in English and Theatre in 1981. In addition, he has completed several management training and media sales courses.
