Rising Stars To Be Discovered By Telefutura And Univision’s "Objetivo Fama 2"
Auditions to be held in Houston this Saturday
Houston, TX -- “Objetivo Fama 2” auditions, an opportunity of FAME for young adults between 18 and 28-years-old, has arrived to Houston. Auditions will take place on Saturday, November 20th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Houston Medical Center, 6701 S. Main Street, Houston, TX 77030.
The largest musical talent search for Hispanic youth in the U.S., will occur between November 6 and November 20, 2004. The auditions will take place in six additional cities including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Phoenix, Miami, and Hollywood. Some contestants will advance to compete for a $25,000 cash prize and a contract with Univision Music Group.
The top 18 national finalists will receive intense professional training for 14 weeks in Puerto Rico at the Guaynabo School of Performing Arts. Experts will train the finalists in singing technique, dance, theatre, image and fashion. Their stay, training, and interaction will be recorded and broadcast on the Telefutura Television Network. The goal is to discover diamonds in the rough and turn them into shining stars.
Those interested in auditioning must be between 18 and 28-years-old, know how to dance and sing in Spanish, and be a resident of the United States or Puerto Rico. “Objetivo Fama 1” was a grand success in Puerto Rico: more than three million calls were received; 35,000 records were sold; two coliseums were filled to capacity with thousands of fans. Janina Irazterri, 20-years-old, was the grand winner.
