WUVC 40 to Re-Air Emergengy Preparedness “Enfoque Latino” Public Affairs Show
Emergency Preparedness Information Useful for Hispanic Families in Preparation for Hurricane Isabel’s Arrival
Fayetteville, NC -- In preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Isabel, Univision 40 will re-broadcast a Spanish-language emergency preparedness “Enfoque Latino” (Latino Focus) community affairs program today and tomorrow from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m.
“Helping ensure the safety and well-being of Hispanics in our community is very important to Univision,” notes Lizette Cruz-Watko, host of “Enfoque Latino” and Community Affairs Coordinator at Univision 40. “By re-airing our special emergency preparedness show this Tuesday and Wednesday, we hope to better inform and educate the area’s Spanish-speaking population on what to do in case of an emergency,” adds Cruz-Watko.
Aside from re-airing the special “Enfoque Latino”, Univision 40 is already airing public service announcements on how to prepare in case of a hurricane. In case of an actual emergency, the station will deliver live cut-ins in Spanish with the most up-to-date information.
