Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of July 8 to July 14, 2013

For the third consecutive week (M-SU) and July sweep to date, Univision was the #1 network, broadcast or cable, among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  This marks the second consecutive week Univision ranked #1 among both Men and Women 18-34 and 18-49. Also, for the fourth consecutive week, Univision was the #3 network among Adults 25-54.

This week, UNI had nine of the top 20 programs among Adults 18-34 and eight among Adults 18-49.  For both demographics, UNI had 12 programs in the top 30.

On Monday night, Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering FOX and NBC in each demographic.   Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for both demographics.

On Tuesday night, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC, CBS, and FOX in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for both demographics.

On Wednesday night, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC, CBS, and NBC in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for both demographics.

On Thursday night, Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for both demographics.

For the sixth consecutive Friday, Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for both demographics.

Airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday), Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and NBC in each demographic.  “Sabado Gigante” averaged 2.0 Million Total Viewers 2+, 789,000 Adults 18-49, and 289,000 Adults 18-34.

On Sunday night, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and NBC in each demographic.  Also, Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 20 programs for both demographics.

  • ·         Airing at 8:05 p.m., “Parodiando” averaged 2.5 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 Million Adults 18-49, and 506,000 Adults 18-34.

  • ·         Following “Parodiando” at 10:20 p.m., “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) averaged 2.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 913,000 Adults 18-49, and 295,000 Adults 18-34.

At 8 p.m., Univision’s novela “Porque El Amor Manda” (Because Love Rules) helped Univision rank as the #1 broadcast network for the hour (M-F) among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  The novela saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.2 Million, +13%), Adults 18-49 (2.2 Million, +13%), and Adults 18-34 (1.1 Million, +13%).

Univision’s 9 p.m. novela “Amores Verdaderos” (True Love) helped Univision rank as the #1 broadcast network for the hour (M-F) among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  “Amores Verdaderos” saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.8 Million, +15%), Adults 18-49 (2.5 Million, +15%), and Adults 18-34 (1.2 Million, +18%).

Univision’s 10 p.m. novela “Que Bonito Amor” (Beautiful Love) helped Univision rank as the #1 broadcast network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49.   The novela saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (3.8 Million, +15%), Adults 18-49 (1.8 Million, +12%), and Adults 18-34 (884,000, +21%).

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of July 8, 2013 to July 14, 2013

Airing back-to-back movie presentations on Monday night UniMás increased its audience compared to the prior Monday among Adults 18-49 (+7%) and Adults 18-34 (+23%).

Tuesday night, the third day of “Copa Oro 2013,” UniMás aired live coverage of two Group C matches. UniMás’ Gold Cup coverage  lead to significant  percentage gains for the second consecutive Tuesday night among Total Viewers 2+ (+61%), Adults 18-49 (+83%), and more than double the Adults 18-34 (+109%) audience versus the prior Tuesday.

  • ·         The 8 p.m. match between Costa Rica and Cuba attracted 605,000 Total Viewers 2+, 347,000 Adults 18-49, and 193,000 Adults 18-34.

  • ·         Following at 10:30 p.m. United States faced Belize to win 6-1.  The second match of the night, increased its lead-in by +16% among Total Viewers 2+ (702,000) and +9% among both Adults 18-49 (377,000) and Adults 18-34 (211,000).

  • ·         UniMás also out-delivered CW among Total Viewers 2+ (+23%), Adults 18-49 (+54%), and Adults 18-34 (+23%).

On Wednesday night airing movie presentations, UniMás nearly doubled its audience compared to last Wednesday among Total Viewers 2+ (+83%), Adults 18-49 (+63%), and Adults 18-34 (+93%).

Airing live coverage of “Copa Oro 2013” UniMás experienced week-to-week gains on Thursday night, more than doubling its viewership among Total Viewers 2+ (+104%), Adults 18-49 (+117%) and Adults 18-34 (+124%).

  • ·         At 8 p.m. Panama faced Martinica and generated 874,000 Total Viewers 2+, 463,000 Adults 18-49, and 196 Adults 18-34.  This match was immediately followed by Mexico vs Canada at 10:44 p.m. The Mexico vs. Canada match was the 2nd highest-rated 2013 Gold Cup match to-date (8 in total thus far).

  • ·         UniMás also out-delivered CW among Total Viewers 2+ (+113%), Adults 18-49 (+54%), and Adults 18-34 (+191%).

On Friday night UniMás reported triple digit percentage gains on Friday night, driven by back-to-back “Copa Oro 2013” matches.  UniMás was up +163% among Total Viewers 2+, +220% among Adults 18-49, and +208% among Adults 18-34. UniMás also out-delivered CW among Total Viewers 2+ (+89%), Adults 18-49 (+131%), and Adults 18-34 (+144%).

  • ·         The first match between Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti delivered 413,000 Total Viewers 2+, 226,000 Adults 18-49, and 94,000 Adults 18-34.

  • ·         Following at 9 p.m. Honduras vs. El Salvador attracted 1.2 Million Total Viewers 2+, 688,000 Adults 18-49, and 344,000 Adults 18-34. The Honduras vs. El Salvador match  ranked as the 17th program for the night among Adults 18-34 and 21st among Adults 18-49

For the third consecutive week UniMás reported gains on Saturday night versus the prior Saturday among Adults 18-49 (to 363,000, +16%) and Adults 18-34 (to 213,000, +8%). UniMás also attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (to 699,000, +30%) compared to the prior Saturday.

On Sunday night airing back-to-back movie presentations, UniMás attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+23%), Adults 18-49 (+82%), and Adults 18-34 (+149%) compared to last Sunday.

In the current 2012/2013 Season, UniMás is over-delivering the same weeks in the 2011/2012 Season among Total Viewers 2+ (+7%) and Adults 18-49 (+3%) during broadcast prime.

Compared to the same week a year ago, UniMás reported growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+8%), Adults 18-49 (+16%), and Adults 18-34 (+25%).

UniMás doubles the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca, and MundoFox among Total Viewers 2+ (+123%) and Adults 18-49 (+160%), and more than triples the combined Adults 18-34 (+300%) audience

UniMás finished the week as the #7 Broadcast Network, Out-delivering CW among Total Viewers 2+ (+12%), Adults 18-49 (+41%), and Adults 18-34 (+63%)

UniMás posted significant percentage gains over the prior week and attracted 669,000 Total Viewers 2+ (+56%), 359,000 Adults 18-49 (+76%), and 196,000 Adults 18-34 (+92%) during broadcast prime.
