MIAMI – SEPTEMBER 12, 2012 – Univision News, a division of Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, announced the dates for the “Meet the Candidates” events that the Company is hosting along with Facebook to discuss education and the future of the Hispanic community. Republican presidential candidate, Governor Mitt Romney, will be participating in this conversation with Univision News on September 19, 2012, while President Barack Obama’s event will take place on September 20, 2012. Both events will be streamed online in English and will be televised on the Univision Network at 10 p.m. ET/PT on each night. These are the first-ever events of their kind targeting Hispanic Americans.  The “Meet the Candidates” events will both take place in front of a live audience at the University of Miami BankUnited Center Fieldhouse.

 El Presidente Barack Obama Y El Candidato Presidencial Gobernador Mitt Romney Se Dirigirán A Los Votantes Hispanos En Los Eventos “Encuentro Con  Los Candidatos”, Los Primeros De Su Tipo Jamás Realizados, El 19 Y 20 De Septiembre En La Florida

 Noticias Univision y Facebook transmitirán las sesiones con cada candidato el 19 y 20 de septiembre de 2012 a las 10 p.m. hora del Este/Pacífico

MIAMI – 12 DE SEPTIEMBRE, 2012 – Noticias Univision, una división de Univision Communications Inc., la principal compañía de medios de comunicación al servicio de la comunidad hispana en los Estados Unidos, anunció las fechas para los eventos titulados “Encuentro con los Candidatos” que la empresa realizará conjuntamente con Facebook para discutir temas sobre educación y el futuro de la comunidad hispana. El candidato presidencial Republicano, el gobernador Mitt Romney, participará en una conversación con Noticias Univision el 19 de septiembre de 2012, mientras que el evento con el presidente Barack Obama tendrá lugar el 20 de septiembre de 2012. Ambos eventos podrán verse en inglés vía streaming por Internet, y serán televisados por la Cadena Univision a las 10 p.m. hora del Este/Pacífico cada noche. Estos son los primeros eventos de su tipo dirigidos a los hispanos en Estados Unidos. Las dos sesiones de “Encuentro con los Candidatos” se realizarán frente a un público en vivo en el Fieldhouse del BankUnited Center en la Universidad de Miami.

 Las conversaciones, que serán moderadas por los galardonados presentadores del  “Noticiero Univision”, Jorge Ramos y María Elena Salinas,  se enfocarán en la educación y el futuro de la comunidad hispana.  Cada una se transmitirá por streaming en la página de Noticias Univision en Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/univisionnoticias), y el centro de política de Facebook,  (http://www.facebook.com/uspolitics), también cubrirá los eventos. Además, Noticias Univision buscará la participación del público a través de Facebook en los días anteriores a los eventos.
