Miami, FL — As part of its commitment to represent the voice of the Hispanic community and serve as an invaluable source of information to millions of viewers, the Univision Network is furthering the debate on immigration in the U.S. with an exclusive poll, conducted in partnership with The Associated Press, which offers insights into the Hispanic communityís views on the governmentís progress on immigration reform, as well Arizonaís recently passed SB 1070 law and its amendments, among other key issues. In addition, the network will host ìInmigraciÛn: Un Debate Nacionalî (Immigration: A National Debate), a town hall event moderated by Univision News anchors Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas at the Univision studios in Miami, FL and by local news anchor Mary Rabago from the studios of Univision affiliate KTVW-33 in Phoenix, AZ that will provide a platform for both sides to discuss key issues surrounding immigration policy in the U.S. The poll results will be revealed first on ìNoticiero Univisionî (Univision Network News) on Thursday, May 13 at 6:30pm ET/PT (5:30pm Central). ìInmigraciÛn: Un Debate Nacionalî will air on Friday, May 14 at 10pm ET/PT (9pm Central). The town hall will bring together some of the countryís most respected figures on immigration law and public policy, representatives of national Hispanic organizations as well as members of groups for and against immigration reform, members of the immigrant community, Arizona state and local government officials, a White House representative, and members of Congress to present diverse perspectives on how this issue touches every corner of America.
