New York, NY — Univision Communications Inc., the leading Spanish-language media company in the United States, today announced the appointment of Antonio Roman to the position of vice president of network sales in Miami, effective immediately. In this position, Roman will oversee all sales operations for the Southeast region. He will report to Carlos Deschapelles, senior vice president of Univision Network Sales.

Antonio Roman started his career at Univision in 1996. Prior to this appointment he served as vice president and senior account executive for the Univision networks based in New York. He previously served as vice president of marketing & business development for the Univision Television Group, where he was responsible for developing several marketing platforms, including Univisionís first cross platform program ìSalud, Dinero, AmorÖî (Health, Money and LoveÖ). Over the years Roman has held various positions, including local sales manager (Los Angeles), national sales representative (San Antonio) and account executive (Los Angeles). Prior to Univision, Roman worked for several advertising agencies, including Ward Communications/Milagro Media, and Sosa, Bromley, Aguilar, Noble & Associates (now Bromley Communications). A native of Puerto Rico, Roman has a BA in Communications from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazon in Santurce, where he graduated with honors.
