BBC Produced Series Celebrates Nature’s Dramatic Beauty
New York, NY — Galavisión, the nation’s leading Spanish-language cable network, will premiere the internationally acclaimed wildlife series “Vida Salvaje” (Wild Life) on Sunday, November 4th at 8pm ET/PT (7pm Central).
Presented in an exclusive partnership with BBC Worldwide, this weekly primetime series will offer viewers the most extraordinary sights and unrivaled beauty from exotic locations all over the world. World renowned cinematographers will spare no effort to bring touching stories of animals in their natural habitats no matter how remote or inaccessible. Whether bringing viewers scenic vistas or following the heartfelt stories of love, loss and the ultimate tests of survival, this gripping series captures the essence of nature at its best.
The premiere episode, shot entirely in the South American Amazon jungle, will feature the denizens living and playing in the vast tree canopy. Viewers will bear witness to rarely photographed colorful birds and playful monkeys including toucans, marmosets and capuchins, among others.
Future episodes will feature:
- A story of Grizzlies and polar bear cubs in the northern wilderness of North America and the Arctic.
- A school of dolphins, studied in order to learn more about their intricate system of communication.
- The world’s most powerful land mammal, the elephant, as found in its native habitats of Asia and Africa.
- The dramatic story of survival of two young lion cubs in the Masai Mara of East Africa.
- An intimate look at the silverback leader of a large gorilla group in the mountains of Rwanda.
