Univision 65 Main Anchor Named Philadelphia Puerto Rican Day Parade
Univision’s main anchorwoman takes another giant step into the Latino community in the Delaware Valley.
Philadelphia, PA — Maria Porras, the main female anchor for Univision 65 the Philadelphia, PA -Vineland, NJ Spanish Language Television Station, has been named MC for the 40th annual Philadelphia Puerto Rican Day Parade on September 29, 2002.
Miss Porras will also participate in the parade. She will ride in the first unit and then upon arriving at the Grand Stand she will narrate the parade in Spanish.
The two hour parade steps off at 12 noon from 22ND. St and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and ends at Logan Circle.
The reviewing stand for the 10 block parade is on the Parkway between 18th and 19th Streets.
The parade will be televised between 4 and 6 p.m. by WPVI-TV and Univision 65, the parade’s main Spanish language media sponsor will air cut-ins during the actual parade. The cut-ins will air during Univision 65’s regularly scheduled programming.
